Refund Policy for Ivy League Prep

At Ivy League Prep (ivyleagueprep.org), we are committed to delivering high-quality SAT, ACT, and K-12 tutoring services. Our refund policy ensures fairness and transparency for our clients. Please review the terms below for our refund and cancellation procedures.

1. Cancellations and Refunds for Individual Sessions

  • Cancellation by Client:

    • Cancellations made at least 24 hours before a scheduled tutoring session are eligible for a full refund or rescheduling at no additional cost.

    • Cancellations within 24 hours of the session are non-refundable but may be rescheduled once, subject to tutor availability.

    • No-shows (failure to attend without notice) are non-refundable and non-reschedulable.

  • Cancellation by Ivy League Prep:

    • If we cancel a session (e.g., due to tutor unavailability), you will receive a full refund for the affected session or the option to reschedule at no cost.

2. Refunds for Tutoring Packages

  • Unused Sessions:

    • If you purchase a multi-session package (e.g., 10-session SAT prep), you may request a refund for unused sessions within 30 days of purchase, provided fewer than 50% of the sessions have been used.

    • Refunds are calculated based on the package price minus the full rate for any used sessions.

    • Example: A 10-session package costs $1,000 ($100/session). If 3 sessions are used, the refund for the remaining 7 sessions is $700.

  • Non-Refundable Packages:

    • Packages are non-refundable after 30 days from purchase or if 50% or more of the sessions have been used.

3. Online Courses and Materials

  • Digital Courses (e.g., self-paced ACT prep):

    • Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase if you have not accessed more than 10% of the course content.

    • No refunds are available after 7 days or if more than 10% of the course has been accessed.

  • Physical Materials (if applicable):

    • Refunds for unused, unopened materials are available within 14 days of delivery, provided you cover return shipping costs.

    • Materials must be returned in original condition.

4. Exceptions

  • Satisfaction Guarantee:

    • If you are dissatisfied with your first tutoring session, contact us within 48 hours to request a full refund or a complimentary replacement session with a different tutor.

  • Extenuating Circumstances:

    • We may consider refunds outside this policy for exceptional cases (e.g., medical emergencies) at our discretion. Please provide documentation where applicable.

Refund Policy - the basics

Having said that, a Refund Policy is a legally binding document that is meant to establish the legal relations between you and your customers regarding how and if you will provide them with a refund. Online businesses selling products are sometimes required (depending on local laws and regulations) to present their product return policy and refund policy. In some jurisdictions, this is needed in order to comply with consumer protection laws. It may also help you avoid legal claims from customers that are not satisfied with the products they purchased.

What to include in the Refund Policy

Generally speaking, a Refund Policy often addresses these types of issues: the timeframe for asking for a refund; will the refund be full or partial; under which conditions will the customer receive a refund; and much, much more.
